What does sovereign mean in this package?

It describes an organization's ability to understand and govern its PNT dependencies, requirements, evidence, and decisions. It does not assert governmental authority, national control of a signal, or independence from every external service.

Is resilient PNT the same as using more than one source?

No. Source diversity may help, but resilience is defined by required behavior during disruption or manipulation, including degradation, detection, isolation, recovery, and reporting.

Does Assured PNT mean a product is certified?

No. Assured PNT is a mission-specific confidence judgment supported by defined requirements and evidence. Certification, safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory determinations remain with their proper authorities.

How are integrity and accuracy different?

Accuracy concerns closeness to the relevant truth or reference. Integrity concerns trust in the information and timely indication when it should not be used.

Are opportunistic sources automatically reliable backups?

No. A non-dedicated source must be evaluated for access, stability, uncertainty, legality, observability, integrity, and operational availability before it can support a PNT decision.
